Re: [Openstack] Swift authentication using keystone (Essex deploy manual)
Hey, I tried to use the proxy-server.conf file from here: http://keystone.openstack.org/configuringservices.html#configuring-swift-to-use-keystone but it didn't work. I was not able to interpret if it needed to be changed to my environment, and how. So I took a look at the devstack script ( devstack.org ) and changed the template to use my configurations. This time I installed swift into the same node I was using all other services, instead of adding a new node as I was trying, just for tests. Here is my final proxy-server.conf that worked for me http://paste.openstack.org/show/15320/ . note that my admin_token is ADMIN, instead of the one used in the manual. 2012/5/4 khabou imen > hi Lucio, > i've the same problem as u ,have u find any solution :// > > 2012/4/30 Lucio Cossio > >> I'm still having problems to configure Swift with Keystone, someone can >> show me a proxy-server.conf file that works? >> >> >> 2012/4/27 Lucio Cossio >> >>> Hey there >>> >>> I'm installing my OpenStack Essex environment with ubuntu 12.04 using >>> the new deploy manual from docs.openstack.org and i'm having problems >>> to make swift work with keystone. >>> >>> I had everything installed but swift, because as far as I remember the >>> manual didn't had a swift insllation and setup section, but now it does so >>> I'm using it. >>> >>> I installed everything in a single node (192.168.100.140) using the >>> manual, and now I'm installing swift in another single node >>> (192.168.100.138) using an old swift manual for a all-in-one installation >>> without keystone. Hi Lucio, This should be all documented here: http://keystone.openstack.org/configuringservices.html#configuring-swift-to-use-keystone Chmouel On Mon, Apr 30, 2012 at 3:26 PM, Lucio Cossio wrote: > I'm still having problems to configure Swift with Keystone, someone can show > me a proxy-server.conf file that works? ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~openstack Post to : openstack@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~openstack More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Openstack] Swift authentication using keystone (Essex deploy manual)
Hey there I'm installing my OpenStack Essex environment with ubuntu 12.04 using the new deploy manual from docs.openstack.org and i'm having problems to make swift work with keystone. I had everything installed but swift, because as far as I remember the manual didn't had a swift insllation and setup section, but now it does so I'm using it. I installed everything in a single node (192.168.100.140) using the manual, and now I'm installing swift in another single node (192.168.100.138) using an old swift manual for a all-in-one installation without keystone. After I made swift work without keystone, I setup the endpoint for my swift node, and used the proxy-server.conf file from the new manual. Here's the output when I get my token from keystone http://paste.openstack.org/show/13988/ and then I try to use it to list swift containers but it gives me a 503 http error http://paste.openstack.org/show/13989/ my proxy-server.conf file http://paste.openstack.org/show/13991/ Can someone help me to configure that ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~openstack Post to : openstack@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~openstack More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
