[openstack-dev] [openstack-infra][openstack-governance][governance][vitrage] Adding Vitrage to the Governance repository

2015-12-06 Thread GROSZ, Maty (Maty)
Hello,

Vitrage would like to initialise new puppet-vitrage module (change
https://review.openstack.org/#/c/252214/)
I was instructed to first add a patch to the governance repository:
https://review.openstack.org/253893
How do I proceed? Can someone please review and approve?

Thanks,

Maty

[openstack-dev] [openstack-infra] Project approved specs

2015-11-30 Thread GROSZ, Maty (Maty)

Hey,

All vitrage specs are written and kept in the vitrage-specs repository.
According to the developers guide, all approved specs appear here:
http://specs.openstack.org/
How do the approved specs get to appear in the link above?
Is there a writing convention that need to be followed? Any configuration?

Thanks

[openstack-dev] [openstack-infra] Adding new members to new vitrage-dashboard-core group in gerrit is disabled

2015-11-17 Thread GROSZ, Maty (Maty)
Hello,

Two questions regarding new project init:

1) A new change, https://review.openstack.org/#/c/245671/, was merged earlier.
In the change, I created a new gerrit group - vitrage-dashboard–core.
When I open gerrit UI – I don’t see myself in the list, and I cannot add anyone
as the option to add is disabled.

2) Looking in launchpad for Vitrage and python-vitrageclient project:
How does the “Series and milestones” section and "Development focus:” in
launchpad is updated? I only see “trunk” and “trunk series” instead of mitake/
and mitaka series

Thanks,

Maty

Usually in python projects are used next thing:
- cover - for unit test coverage
- pep8 + custom hacking rules - to check code styles
- pylint - to check even more code styles

[openstack-dev] Server action using compute V2.0 API: add and remove security group

2013-12-03 Thread GROSZ, Maty (Maty)
Hey,

I would like to know (and how do I know that from nova code) what kind of
requests are these two APIs: Synchronized or a-synchronized (using compute v2.0
API):
Server action add Security Group ?
Server action remove Security Group ?

I would like to know if the documented return response code 202 (accepted) is
returned even if the whole process itself hasn't been finished yet, or whether
it should returned back at the end of the 'add' or 'remove' execution.

Thanks,

Maty.

[openstack-dev] Update resources API

2013-10-30 Thread GROSZ, Maty (Maty)
Hi *,

I wonder how does OpenStack Update resource APIs are handling a case in which
the update request is to clear an existed attribute value:
For example, let A be a resource (Server, Image, Volume... whatever) and A1, A2
and A3 are all attribute of resource A.
Let 'a' be the current value of attribute A1. Now, the client would like to
call the update API of resource A, and clear the value of A1.

What is the convention in OpenStack services? I know that the Image service
(Glance) API has a good solution for that (update an Image, for example), but
what is the behavior in the other services APIs?
Should the client send the attribute in the request and set it a string of
length 0? For example - the client would like to clear A1 and set a different
value for A2. Using XML message body:

resourceA A1= A2=newValue
/resourceA

Thanks,

Maty.

[openstack-dev] Glance Client - new blue print

Hi *,

The basic idea is to make the schema validation check configurable (do validate

not.

The blue print can be viewed here:

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/python-glanceclient/+spec/make-schema-api-calls-configurable

I will appreciate if you could view it and progress it to the next step.

[openstack-dev] Neutron - an issue regarding what API to follow

2013-10-21 Thread GROSZ, Maty (Maty)
Hey *,

I got a little confused with what API should we follow regarding Neutron VPN
service...
There is this wiki page https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Neutron/VPNaaS that
handles VPN APIs, where as the formal Neutron API documentation,
http://docs.openstack.org/api/openstack-network/2.0/content/vpnaas_ext_ops_service.html,
describes different API version and URL structure.

Generally, my decisions are always follow the formal API documentation. But in
this case I am little confused...

Can anyone help? What are the actual APIs?

Earlier this morning (Middle east time) we received an email regarding a Heat
document that is kept within Google by openstack-dev mailing list.
I have deleted it by mistake (still waiting for the writer approval to open the
document).
Can someone re-send this email to me?

Thanks,

Maty.

[openstack-dev] OpenStack Oslo Project - thoughts about a new blueprint: Fault Verbosity

2013-08-29 Thread GROSZ, Maty (Maty)
Hey *,

I have registered a new blueprint regarding additional verbosity information
within API fault messages (can be viewed here:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/oslo/+spec/additional-fault-verbos).
Your thoughts and comments are more than welcome!

Thanks,

Maty.
