Re: [openstack-dev] Juno Compute RPC v3.33 Endpoint Error when the Controller is running rabbitMQ v3.4.2

Hi Experts,

I have a three node Juno system running on Ubuntu 14.04. On the compute node I
keep getting the following Endpoint does not support RPC version 3.33 to caller
error when I launch a Nova instance. The Controller is running rabbitMQ v3.4.2.
So I do not understand why the compute node thinks the endpoint does not
support v3.33. I tried both rabbitMQ v3.3.3 and v3.5 on the compute node with
the same result. Data below. Any suggestions?

[openstack-dev] Juno Nova Instance building/scheduling forever without error or timeout

2015-06-29 Thread Gregg Marxer
Hi Experts,

I hope you can help me. I have a three node Juno system built on Ubuntu 14.04.
When I try to launch a nova instance it gets stuck in building/scheduling
forever without logging an error or timing out. Based off another post I
upgraded rabbitMQ to 3.5 but that did not help.

I have debug logs for the nova-compute, nova-api, and nova-scheduler. I don't
see anything glaring other than a dynamic looping call which I am not clear on
what that means.

All of my nova-services are up as well as my neutron agents.

I have posted all of this information here.

https://ask.openstack.org/en/question/69128/juno-nova-instance-stuck-in-build-scheduling-three-node-system/

I am stuck on where to begin troubleshooting this issue. Can you please assist?
