Re: [openstack-dev] [requirements][daisycloud][freezer][fuel][tatu][trove] pycrypto is dead andinsecure, you should migrate

2018-06-13 Thread Zhang Fan
Hi, Matthew

Sorry for the late updates on patches. Trove team members recently are sort of
busy with daily work. And it takes me awhile to get back focusing the upstream.
Fortunately, we are still there, and trove is still alive :)

About removing pycryto dependency, there are two patches, as [0] is merged and
[1] is on the way, thanks Zhao Chao for working on [0]:

[0].https://review.openstack.org/#/c/560292/

[1].https://review.openstack.org/#/c/573070/

Thanks anyone who helps us on this improments and looks forward to have more
contributors joining us in OpenStack/Trove !

Best wishes.
Fan Zhang

Reverse order this time :D

trove has https://review.openstack.org/#/c/573070 which is making good
progress

The rest (tatu, fuel, freezer, daisycloud-core) I don't see any reviews,
starting to wonder if they watch the list.

Re: [openstack-dev] [Zaqar] Nominating yangzhenyu for Zaqar core

2018-02-27 Thread Zhang Fan
Big +1 for Zhenyu Yang. Although I am not a contributor of zaqar, but as his
former colleague, I do know that he's definitely an excellent developer.

Best wishes.

+1, zhenyu has done a lot of useful features in Zaqar. Such as delay queue and
message abstract support. Some others are on the list for Rocky as well.
Great work.

Hi team,

I would like to propose adding Zhenyu Yang(yangzhenyu) for the Zaqar core team.
He has been an awesome contributor since joining the Zaqar team. And now he is
the most active non-core contributor on Zaqar projects for the last 180
days[1]. Zhenyu has great technical expertise and contributed many high quality
patches. I'm sure he would be an excellent addition to the team. If no one
objects, I'll proceed and add him in a week from now. Thanks.

I would encourage everyone who is interested in providing input into the Rocky
planning cycle for Trove to put their ideas into the etherpad at:

https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/trove-ptg-rocky

There are a good number of topics posted already. We would welcome input from
operators as well.
We are planning to meet remotely using Skype. If you are interested in
participating in the discussions do add your Skype ID as well.

As we prepare for the PTG, there will be no weekly meeting next week.

What a pity.

Thanks so much for your remarkable work for trove in the last cycle, it’s my
pleasure to work with you. Wish you the best!

So I do not intend to nominate myself for the Rocky cycle.
