Hi all, we have put up an etherpad [1] with a draft agenda for the session on Heat Translator next week. It is an outline of things that we want to talk about to give an overview and some background on the project, as well as a collection of things that came to our minds. It is important to say that the project is really young and still taking shape. Compared to other design design sessions where the issues being discussed are much more concrete, expect this session to be of a broader scope. It is really meant to show what we have so far, what our vision is, but then also to shape the project so it best benefits the OpenStack Orchestration program. Therefore, we are really interested in everyone's input for that session so that we can make best use of everyone's time there. That said, feel free to add your input to the etherpad. We will then consolidate it in time for the session next Thursday. That would actually be very good use of time during that session, because we want to shape the project in a way that it adds benefit to the overall orchestration project. From our perspective, TOSCA is one driving factor, but it's not a pure TOSCA discussion. For example, during last year's summit in Portland we came up with this vision architecture chart in [1], and heat-translator could be a starting point for this pluggable formats layer. Maybe we will also incubate some features in heat-translator and later move them more tightly into Heat ... all points to be sorted out and to develop over time. My 2 cents.
