Hi Dougal,
thanks for moving this forward. I've never finished the release process
upstream, there was no interest/consumer of this lib upstream as UI/CLI
decided to use midstream. I'm excited to see this is changing now.

[openstack-dev] [TripleO] Releasing tripleo-common on PyPI

Hi,

I think this is a good start:
https://github.com/openstack/releases/blob/master/README.rst

We will also want to do something similar with the new python-tripleoclient
which doesn't seem to be registered on PyPI yet at all.

And instack-undercloud.

Thanks,
Dougal

We have tripleo-specific docs for doing releases on the wiki:
https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/TripleO/ReleaseManagement

Someday when I stop dropping the ball on getting the tripleo launchpad
permissions fixed, we'll be able to move to the same release model as
everyone else...

That repo isn't managed by the release team, so you don't need to submit
a release request as described there. You can, however, use the tools to
tag a release yourself. Drop by #openstack-relmgr-office if you have
questions about the tools or process, and I'll be happy to offer
whatever guidance I can.
