Thanks for looking at this Abhishek. I would like to see this work continued
and completed in Mitaka if at all possible.

Would you mind submitting a patch to add the spec to Mitaka? I will make sure
we get that through and targeted for this release.

Thanks!

Sean

[openstack-dev] [cinder] snapshot and cloning for NFS backend

2015-09-29 Thread Kekane, Abhishek
Hi Devs,

The cinder-specs [1] for snapshot and cloning NFS backend submitted by Eric was
approved in Kilo but due to nova issue [2] it is not implemented in Kilo and
Liberty.
I am discussing about this nova bug with nova team for finding possible
solutions and Nikola has given some pointers about fixing the same in launchpad
bug.

This feature is very useful for NFS backend and if the work should be continued
then is there a need to resubmit this specs for approval in Mitaka?

Please let me know your opinion on the same.

I saw that go by, thanks.

Note that while the work outlined there is sufficient, to get this
feature fully robust and polished we also need to get some attention on
this spec:

https://review.openstack.org/#/c/165393/

(I'll update it to move it to the mitaka directory as well I suppose.)
