2018-10-14 Thread Nguyen Van, Trung
Hi Alexander,

Regard to N+1 redundancy feature, our team is testing with Watcher. We decided
to follow 4 steps:

1. Test integrated Watcher with Ceilometer for alarm monitoring (done for
basic test). We will do more tests for other alarming triggers.

2. Implementing business rules in Watcher for our instance switch-over
solution (in progress).

Then, we will implement code-base prototype on Watcher after that.

3. Test BM/VM instance switch-over from Nova [1] (in progress).

4. Integrate testing 1 & 3 for full solution which we are expectation. It
will be perform after completed 1 & 2 & 3.

If we have any issues, we will discuss with you on IRC and or IRC meeting.

We really appreciate your help.

2018-10-10 Thread Vu Cong, Tuan
Hi Alex,
Have a nice day.

Regarding to "Proactive HA", we decided to follow 3 steps:
1. Test Live Migration feature of Watcher (done for basic test)
Thanks to your great help via Watcher IRC channel, I have configured Live
Migration successfully.
I have already performed several tests for "Host Maintenance" feature and it
works!
I will make more tests for other strategies.

2. Check the list of metrics that Monasca supports for sending to Watcher (in
progress)
At this moment, I'm reading this document:
https://github.com/openstack/monasca-agent/blob/master/docs/MonascaMetrics.md

Then, I will fill the gap for communication between Monasca and Watcher by
uploading new patch to Monasca.

3. Integration Test
For making sure Proactive HA works well with other Openstack's components as
expected.
This will be perform later after finishing 1 and 2.

Thanks again for your kind help, we really appreciate it, Alex.

[openstack-dev] [watcher] [monasca] Bare metal node N+1 redundancy and Proactive HA

2018-10-10 Thread Чадин Александр Сергеевич
Greetings Fujitsu team,
During last PTG we've discussed two new blueprints[1] and
how they can be implemented on Watcher and Monasca sides.
What is the status of these BPs? Do you need my help with it?
Witek, should we submit these BPs on Monasca's Storyboard?
