[openstack-dev] Introduction

2017-12-09 Thread courage angeh
Hi guys,

My name is Angeh Courage, computer engineering student at the University of
Buea currently in my forth year of studies. Was a GSoC intern at Mifos
Initiavie for 2016/2017 and I am good with Python, Java - Spring, web(HTML,
CSS, JS - React, Angular...)
I am very interested in cloud computing and containerization and also
interested contributing to openstack and I will like some help on where I
should get started.

Thanks,
Angeh

Hi Nalaka,

 FYI.
In addition to Jay's advice, I recommend you to follow the work of
 openstack Scientific working group
https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Scientific_working_group.
If you have any special project in mind then go for it.
Otherwise, work of the above WG (working group) would be a grate
place to know what other researchers/scientists/academics do with
openstack.

Sampath

Hi and welcome

https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/How_To_Contribute will have some information on
different ways to contribute. If you have a specific project in mind, I'd
suggest searching on their bugtracker for 'low-hanging-fruit'. Either one of
those bugs, or any issues/bugs you see in developer documentation are great
choices for getting started. If you have any trouble, asking in IRC is often a
quick way to get over a problem, but most of it's documented pretty well so
make sure to exhaust the docs first.

Good luck + thanks,
