As we could generate data dynamically, it is possible to develop a web UI
for it which shows real-time and readable scheduler table, provides
download link of custom meetings group, etc.

So could we publish the individual ical files for each meeting too.
That way I could simply add nova.ical to my calendar and avoid other
80 openstack meetings appearing in my schedule.

 this answers my second questions.

That'd be an interetsing feature but in reality it's trivial to run
 yaml2ical
locally against the irc-meetings repo (which you already need to propose
 the
change). Or you can just push the review see if it fails.

There's some meeting with at weekly interval of 2, I assume we would get
  iCal by SUMMARY?

I'm not sure I follow what you're asking here.

Sure I'm working on the second part (albeit slowly). I've been thinkign about
what tooling we could create to find conflicts easier.

No it doesn't tell you about empty slots. The simpler to find them is
still to load the ical in some calendaring app or Google Calendar and
check for interesting available slots.

I'm working on a wsgi app that will allow you to selecte the meetings you're
interested in and generate a URL for just those meetings. It's a spare time
project right now, but as you say storing and sharing the individual ical files
would be a reasonable stop-gap.

 Hi everyone,

 TL;DR:
IRC meetings list now lives at http://eavesdrop.openstack.org
ical file with meetings is now at
 http://eavesdrop.openstack.org/irc-meetings.ical

This is very nice work indeed - must better than the wiki based
approach.

 It is now two things:

 openstack-infra/yaml2ical
This is the Python library piece that generates ical (as well as a
templated meeting index) from a set of YAML descriptions, checking for
 conflicts

From the README it appears this tool is generating / capable of
generating one ical file per meeting

 openstack-infra/irc-meetings
This is the list of OpenStack IRC meetings and the template we use for
 the index

The resulting iCal file is now posted at:
 http://eavesdrop.openstack.org/irc-meetings.ical
Please update your calendar application(s) as we'll discontinue usage of
 the old one very soon.

...but we're only posting a consolidated ical here.

There are a huge number of openstack meetings now, but I think that
each individual person will only be interested in a handful of them.
Adding the irc-meetings.ical to a calendar app really pollutes your
personal schedule, and calendar apps I've seen don't make it easy
to selectively show/hide individual meetings from a shared feed.

So could we publish the individual ical files for each meeting too.
That way I could simply add nova.ical to my calendar and avoid other
80 openstack meetings appearing in my schedule.

Regards,
Daniel

That's a good improvement idea. Will need a few changes on the post-job,
but nothing impossible.
