[openthinclient-user] XML protocol returned bad request with citrix

2014-11-07 Thread Jason Coyne
Can anyone help me out?

This is the error I get when I try to start Citrix Receiver. The event logs on
the XenDesktop controller pc shows this error:

The Citrix Broker Service failed to validate a user's credentials on an XML
service.

Verify the trust relationships between your domains.

Error details:
User: ''
Error: 'BadlyFormattedCredentials'
Message: 'missing password'
Stack Trace: ''

I have the correct username, password and domain setup in openthinclient.

We are using XenDesktop 5.6.0.35.

If I use the browser and browse to my servers address I can access my vm,
however, I am unable to use dual monitors.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Jason

Re: [openthinclient-user] You have not chosen to trust

2014-08-06 Thread Jason Coyne
Thanks for the reply but I'm still having issues. This is exactly what I did on
my ubuntu system.

sudo tar -cvzf
/opt/openthinclient/server/default/data/nfs/root/opt/ica-client-12/keystore/cacerts/citrix.tar.gz

/opt/openthinclient/server/default/data/nfs/root/opt/ica-client-12/keystore/cacerts/citrix.cer

So if I ls into
/opt/openthinclient/server/default/data/nfs/root/opt/ica-client-12/keystore/cacerts
 I see citrix.cer and citrix.tar.gz.

When I boot the thin client I see that citrix.tar.gz gets loaded successfully
but when I get logged into the desktop I just have a citrix receiver shortcut
and when I double click on it it says starting citrix receiver12 then it goes
away. After a minute or so the message You have not chosen to trust...etc SSL
error 61.

What could I be doing wrong?

Thanks for the help!

You have to create the path to the destination path in the tar file.

So create a folder opt. .. ica-client-12... etcetera. ... Just tarieven these
directories with the file. After that it wil work

Thanks for the reply Malte. However I'm still having issues. I used 7zip to
make a tar.gz file and was going to copy it to
openthinclient\server\default\data\nfs\root\custom\packages but the 'packages'
directory was not there. So I right clicked and created a directory under
'custom' called 'packages' and placed the citrix.tar.gz in it but I still get
the SSL error.

I also decided to install openthinclient on a ubuntu linux machine and I did
the same thing. I did: sudo tar -cvzf citrix.tar.gz citrix.cer then created
the packages directory and moved the tar file in there. I also did a chmod 777
citrix.tar.gz and a chown -R nobody /packages. I then changed my DHCP info
to point to the linux machine but I still receive the same error.

Any more thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Jason,

you can still use your Windows Server.
Make a .tar.gz with your certificate and copy it to your server in the
openthinclient\server\default\data\nfs\root\custom\packages
After that it will works.

Best Regards,

Malte

Betreff: [openthinclient-user] You have not chosen to trust

I setup OTC and am using PXE to boot thin clients.

I'm trying to setup my citrix receiver and I get this error you have not
chosen to trust 'blah blah Go Daddy Group blah blah' the issuer of the server's
security certificate (SSL error 61).

I have the proper certificate to use to trust the server's certificate I just
don't know where to put it so the client gets it.

For instance, if I wasn't using PXE and I booted up a HP thin client I would
copy our citrix.cer file to /usr/lib/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts to the HP
client then reboot. Then I could boot into my citrix VM with the HP.

Where would I put that file to have all my PXE boot clients pick up that cert
file? Right now I have OTC installed on a Windows 2008 server but I could also
install it on a linux machine.

Any recommendations?

Thanks
