Hello Steffen, hello list, i took a look at consus (install version, not VM), but compared to V1 there are missing some things, like local install, disable (not only hide) the bar at the top. I don't need exactly something developed, just want the nic to run (workaround is ok, as when it's workíng it results in an image for this one hardware type, which will be used). Maybe someone did already some modifications to the initrd to solve such problems Thanks, Stefan . Hi, as far as i see the problem is the gma3000, which is not supported in current OTC version. So the VESA driver is used and this resolution is not supported by this driver. I have the same problem in grün. [openthinclient-user] intel 965 chipset
Hi All, i've problems with a PC with a intel 965 chipset (Q965 Integrated Graphics Controller). I'm trying to get a 1920x1200 resolution on an 24 inch screen. When i try the VESA driver (selected with autodetect) the max resolution is 1600x1200. When using the intel driver X doesn't recognize the graphics chip. The Xorg.log also doesn't list this chip: (II) I810: Driver for Intel Integrated Graphics Chipsets: i810, i810-dc100, i810e, i815, i830M, 845G, 852GM/855GM, 865G, 915G, E7221 (i915), 915GM, 945G, 945GM, 945GME Is it possible to get the resolution with the VESA driver or do i need an updated version (or driver?) for the X-Server. Hello List, i'm testing OTC with Citrix Xen Servers. USB support works and i can access USB sticks in citrix, but also a linux file browser windows pops up on entering the usb memory stick. [openthinclient-user] Branch Office install?
Hi! I'd like to discuss, what would be the best way to run otc in remote offices. we have some of them, which are connected with 1 mbit leased lines. is it a good idea to use them just like LAN clients? i discovered, that it is possible to install to hd, but i'm afraid the installation is too big to run over the WAN network. also i'm not sure what happens, if there are updates. complete reinstall of the client? has this to be manually triggered by users? users are not experts, so i can't let them do any tasks. what options do i have to work with otc on PCs in remote offices? any input is welcome! regards, stefan -- The Next 800 Companies to Lead America's Growth: New Video Whitepaper David G.
