In OpenVAS-7 you should use the Target option Consider Alive for Alive Test.

I am not sure though whether this is the only hurdle to get this single
NVT to run. Uusually, the dependencies are automatically considered,
but maybe something is wrong with this NVT (secpod_ms11-043.nasl).

[Openvas-discuss] single plugin scan

Hi,
I did a scan with all plugins enabled and the vulnerability with ID: 
1.3.6.1.4.1.25623.1.0.900287 was reported,
then I did a scan only with that plugin enabled, but the vulnerability report 
was empty.
I'm using OpenVAS-7.

I just need to set the option unscanned_closed as no, but there's still no 
vulnerability reported.

What else must I do?
And, what is the most common solution?

Also try to disable the optimize scan option (not sure how it is called in
current version).

If you don't run also a port scanner, setting the option Consider unscanned
ports as close to FALSE could help.

When I do a scan on one of my test machines with all plugins enabled, one of
the vulnerabilities found is the plugin with the ID
1.3.6.1.4.1.25623.1.0.100643. Now I do a second scan, only with the plugin
1.3.6.1.4.1.25623.1.0.100643 enabled. The report of the second scan is
empty. I tried the same with other plugins and it also didn't work. Can
somebody tell me which plugins I have to select beside the desired plugin to
perform a single plugin scan?

 

And of course auto_enable_dependencies is set to yes.
