[Openvpn-devel] [PATCH] Fix error message when using RHEL init script

The "Error 1723" translates to RPC_S_SERVER_TOO_BUSY. So, this is something new. I'll try to reproduce it. Thank you very much for your report. I am downloading the IE11-Win7 image as we speak and will test _before_ and _after_ the updates. Hi, > > The %TEMP%/openvpn-install.log is: ... > I should mention I tested the .exe installer. You didn't need to. The MSI packages does not setup any logging to file by default. The EXE installer is the one who adds /l* %TEMP%/openvpn-install.log to the msiexec command line. The %TEMP%/openvpn-install.log is EXE-installer-specific. Searching for TAP interfaces Action > start 05:28:59: FindTAPInterfaces. > CustomAction FindTAPInterfaces returned actual error code 1154 (note > this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox) error code 1154 = ERROR_INVALID_DLL The error code 1154 (ERROR_INVALID_DLL) indicates, one of the DLLs required by libopenvpnmsica.dll was missing, failed to load or it's too old (missing some functions perhaps introduced later). The libopenvpnmsica.dll requires the following DLLs in System32 folder: ADVAPI32.dll IPHLPAPI.DLL KERNEL32.dll msi.dll msvcrt.dll ole32.dll SETUPAPI.dll SHELL32.dll SHLWAPI.dll USER32.dll VERSION.dll I'm not sure about msvcrt.dll, but the rest are stock since more or less Windows NT, so your Windows should have them out of the box. [Openvpn-devel] Dropping Ubuntu 12.04 packages?
Hi, I've worked on openvpn-vagrant and sbuild_wrapper recently[*] and noticed that mainstream support for Debian 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 ended: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianReleases https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases However, Ubuntu 12.04 is still under "Extended Security Maintenance", meaning that a small subset of packages still receive security updates: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/ESM/12.04 OpenVPN and OpenSSL are among the packages that Canonical still supports. The question is: do _we_ want to keep releasing OpenVPN packages for Ubuntu 12.04? [*] Testing a review would be appreciated: https://github.com/OpenVPN/sbuild_wrapper/pull/1 https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn-vagrant/pull/6 ___ Openvpn-devel mailing list Openvpn-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openvpn-devel

Launching the VM will require > Virtualbox, at least until somebody is sufficiently motivated to make > the VM run on something else (e.g. via libvirt). I added a Vagrant VM called "sbuild" to openvpn-vagrant. Its provisioning script will fully configure sbuild_wrapper so that you can just do $ vagrant ssh sbuild $ cd sbuild_wrapper $ scripts/build-all.sh and you will end up with all the packages under the "output" directory and in output.tar.gz. The provisioning part will take quite a while to finish. The changes that make all of this possible have not, however, been merged upstream and need review and independent testing: https://github.com/OpenVPN/sbuild_wrapper/pull/1 https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn-vagrant/pull/6 While the provisioning script (sbuild.sh) can be run outside of Vagrant, it may fail due to minor differences in the base OS. I'll look into adding Ubuntu 18.04 support next. >>> Fixed. The CreatingUnixPackages page was truly obsolete. >> >> Nice.
