We had some build problems on different platforms recently.

This seemed to resolve them:

gcc  pr 41818

build errors where the host and target libraries get mixed up, during
bootstrap

I've heard from archlinux users with gcc 4.6.2 that they have problems
but don't know if they resolved them.
So, probably, there is an issue with gcc 4.6.2.
