The most straightforward way is to generate a new private key, a certificate
request from the key, raise a request with the PKI, issue the certificate and
deploy the certificate on the end entity.
If you want to automate things, you could consider using SCEP or EST for
automatic renewal of the certificate (however, this needs to be done while the
cert is still valid).
