Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] [container4nfv]Need your action in F release

2017-11-08 Thread 贾玄
Hi Dave:

SR-IOV and DPDK is the acceleration technology for networking. For brief
introduction ,SR-IOV is to let physical network interface virtualize 64
interfaces and let container or virtual machine can bind the virtual-interface.

CNI: Container network interface. It’s a networking model in Kubernetes.
SP can provide their network solution for kubernetes. It’s more flexible and
more convenient than before. For example, Calico\Flannel\... can support CNI

Multus is the solution let POD ( it’s a concept in kubernetes) support
more than 1 interface. Now kubernetes only support 1 pod 1 interface, unlike
virtual machine can add more than 1 interface.

   Does it make sense ?

Container4NFV team,

Your project is currently out of compliance, since I have not seen your release
plan for Fraser. To avoid being removed from the Fraser release, please do the
following immediately:

1. Please complete your project's release plan. OPNFV does not have
specific release plan requirements, however, here is a suggested template that
you may use if you wish.
2. Complete the release plan summary and link your release plan in the
appropriate field.
3. If you are a scenario owner, or you depend on scenarios for deployment,
please add your scenario(s) to the scenario status page.

* Note that I removed questions about scenarios from the release plan
summary because I thought that they were redundant, so please make sure that
you add your scenarios to the scenario summary page.

Joid-ovs-dpdk (Intel)

OCI gap (China Mobile)

Finaize the and actualize the architecture ananlzis (Nokia)

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] 回复: SFC

2017-11-08 Thread Manuel Buil
Good, Euphrates also brings a lot of new things and bug fixes, so I
think it makes sense to try the newest OPNFV.

If you use XCI as installer, note that it will create the controller,
jumphost and compute nodes as VMs using OpenStack Bifrost, so you will
not need virtualbox to do that as xci does it for you.

Manuel
