[opnfv-tech-discuss] OPNFV 2.0 subcommittee -- updates after 04/02/2020 TSC call

2020-02-04 Thread Fu Qiao
Hi, all. Thank you for the discussion on yesterday's TSC call. A few
follow-ups from yesterday.

1. Re-decide the sub-committee meeting time.

This week's sub-committee call is UTC 0:00-1:00, which is impossible for
European people to join. I have just created a doodle poll, so please
provide you available time in the poll before this Friday, Feb. 7th. And we
will work out the new meeting time next Monday.

I will resend the meeting invitation after that.

https://doodle.com/poll/9usr77tud4vrw9g2

2. Update wiki page to capture progress and decision making.

According to what Al and the other suggested, I update the wiki page and set
up two separate pages, one for working progress, and the other for capture
agreements. Please provide your suggestions and comments on the working
progress pagehttps://wiki.opnfv.org/display/DEV/Working+Progress+Page, and
only the sum-committee chair is capable of editing the agreement
pagehttps://wiki.opnfv.org/display/DEV/Agreements+Capture+Page

3. Plan for next week's call

On yesterday's TSC, I think we have difficulty reaching consensus on the
working items, since we are not sharing the same mission and goal within
TSC. Therefore I suggest we first discuss and finalize the mission and goal
statement, and then revisit the working items. In the working progress page,
I put the mission statement as NO.1 for discussion. I also put the original
statement and the statement the sub-committee proposed yesterday.

According to yesterday's comments, I suggest we put some words or texts that
you think should be necessary to capture in the mission statement down,
before we have the discussion next week. I managed a table in the working
progress page for people to provide comments and suggestions of words.
Please feel free to edit that before the next sub-committee call.

Thank you, all. And hope we have a nice and efficient discussion next week.

[opnfv-tech-discuss] #laas LaaS CNTT Upgrades

2020-02-04 Thread Parker Berberian
Hello all,

The LaaS project is performing hardware upgrades to move towards CNTT
compliance. This includes upgrading the SSD storage and network interfaces.

We plan to upgrade the machines one at a time as they are available, so as
to not interrupt anyone's active booking. Some interruptions may be
unavoidable, and we will communicate to those who will be affected if we
expect some downtime.

Some interface names and drive paths may change as we swap out hardware,
but there should be no major disruption to user's workflow.

Please feel free to reach out to me or my team with any questions.

Best,

Parker Berberian
