Hi everyone, As informed earlier we have made some optimizations and improvements to our documentation toolchain during the Gambia release. During this work<https://docs.opnfv.org/en/stable-gambia/how-to-use-docs/local-build-transition.html> we struggled to ensure the documentation was completely migrated and a lot of last-minute fixes were used to complete the release.
Some of you have probably noticed broken links in the result of the Gambia documentation, if you happen to notice this raise a ticket or bring it to the projects attention. These issues we need to address and resolve and the work will continue for Gambia 7.1. We will update the wiki to provide information and guidance on how to solve these problems, in the meantime if you need support or if you find something that doesn’t look right you are welcome to raise a Jira ticket (OPNFV Documentation) and we will help you! One of the work items will be to enable projects local builds. This also means that we are moving away from submodules. Trevor and myself will use this event to help projects do necessary changes but we encourage all PTLs to help out, even if you aren’t able to participate. A detailed guide on how this is done can be found here<https://docs.opnfv.org/en/latest/how-to-use-docs/local-build-transition.html> Please let us know if you have any questions! Starting September 5th at 10AM PDT (please have a look at the wiki<mailto:https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/EVNT/Docs+Hacking+-+Q2+2018> for your local time zone) Agenda and logistics can be found here<mailto:https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/EVNT/Docs+Hacking+-+Q2+2018> Focus will be on upcoming MS6 which includes Preliminary documentation done. Perfect opportunity for new projects to get the document repo structure in place and get started with documentation. Also, during the Gambia release we will remove the submodules and move over to this, https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/#/c/58189/ .
