Hello all,
last week during the TSC call we talked about scenario consolidation.
The topic is not new and has been discussed for a while, it's time to
get some action!
For those of you who are not familiar with it, the idea is to have two
kinds of scenarios:
* Generic: a stack composition choice OPNFV decides to provide and maintain
* Specific: for a specific purpose (e.g. isolating a certain development
effort)
This consolidation will reduce the release effort and provide a clear
picture of which configurations are supported.
The plan is to create a PoC in the next months using OS+no_sdn as
generic scenario, with the following configuration variables: ovs,
ovs-dpdk, fdio, ha, bar . This will give us a better idea of the
technical challenges and the implications on the release process.
For the PoC we will use only one installer. I am looking for volunteers
from the installers communities to help with this task.
Contact me if you are interested.
thanks,
Rossella
P.s. if you want to know more about scenario consolidation, you can look
