Position: Android Senior Developer *Location: Cranston, RI* *Duration: 4 + months* *Need H1B Copy* Primary Skills · Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes · Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services · Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices · Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning · Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch” · Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers · Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks · Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements · Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications · A knack for benchmarking and optimization · Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines · Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle · Experience with web service Key Responsibilities · Defining the overall technical architecture for the mobile application that is being envisioned with the customer. · Defining the technical requirements for the implementation of the mobile solution. · Discussing with the customer technical aspects of the mobile application solution architecture, including the technology used, methodology followed, and devices selected. · Preparing technical solution and architecture documents, artifacts, work products and presentations for the customer. · Representing the customer’s technical solution requirements · Represent the technical team in front of prospects/ customers towards acquiring new business Requirements The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (advanced degree a plus), have significant technical experience in previous mobile projects and possess a proven track record for leading or supporting technical sales activities. Key expectations include: · 5+ years of experience overall. · 3+ years of experience working with all the Android Mobile platforms. · 3+ years of experience of providing architecture solutions to Android Mobile Applications. · Good understanding and knowledge of Mobile Application development. · Experience in Agile Project Methodologies.
