We primarily work in cloud environments and data centers in our department. Project Description: In this project we will be working on Splunk Administration. Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for: · We will accept ELK experience in place of Splunk expertise/experience. "The ELK stack consists of Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. Although they've all been built to work exceptionally well together, each one is a separate project that is driven by the open-source vendor Elastic—which itself began as an enterprise search platform vendor." · Splunk Administration, general health of the Splunk Cluster, performance testing, patching splunk upgrades · Any automation framework (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt) · Monitoring Splunk license usage, making recommendations for verbosity of the logs with the application teams. · Responsible for creating best use tip sheets with Splunk. · Direct staff to perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. · Direct staff to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. · Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and counsel organization on where changes will need to be made in the future.
