Position:Network Engineer
Location:Chicago, IL
Duration:6 month contract plus extensions

Must Have :   Experience configuring a nexus 7K or an ASA
We are seeking an experienced Cisco candidate that can perform various
Cisco related functions within the enterprise.
This candidate must be able to work independently, as well as collectively
to accomplish goals set before them.
This person should be proficient in Cisco technologies, particularly Cisco
2921, Cisco 3550, Cisco 3750, Nexus 7004, Cisco ASA5520 and Cisco 5505’s.
Assist company's Cisco Engineer with day-to-day activities involving Cisco
equipment, technologies and concepts.
This person will also assist in the planning and implementation of
company’s network initiatives.

Example projects include:
Replace the aged Cisco 3550 switches with Cisco 3750 switches with the
latest IOS version.
Implementation/management of port security on these switches will be a
focus.
Planning/Implementation of the Cisco VPN clients to Cisco AnyConnect, this
initiative will require that all rules and user profiles are defined for
the environment following Cisco best practices, while still allowing
business functionality.
Assist with completing the migration of the remaining equipment connected
to the Cisco 6509 switch to the Nexus 7004 core switch.
Monitor/Implement Cisco ASA 5505 firewall changes to improve PCI security
initiatives for all remote station ASA devices.

Position  :  Network Engineer
Location :   Elkton MD
Duration :  12+MOnths

*INTERVIEW MODE: Phone / Face to face (must be local)*

Responsibilities:
Support all facets of Enterprise Network System Administration including
Quality, Change Control, IT Security and Documentation processes for all
Network functions as it relates to Enterprise IT.
Troubleshoot complex problems with multiple teams locally, or globally.
Evaluate, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and analyze network systems
including network switches, routers, wireless access points, load
balancers, and firewalls
Work closely with other departments and collaborate with other IT
associates
Analyze, detect, and resolve network related faults and capacity problems
Undertake routine preventative maintenance, maintaining and monitoring
network security
Plan and implement future network developments and undertake project work
Provide level 3 support for network systems within a global ticket system
(Service Now) while following ITIL processes
Implement IT Security processes and applications.
Installation and removal of physical network hardware and related cabling.
Documentation of all tasks and processes.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, related field, or 3 to 5
years equivalent experience.
3 to 5 years’ experience performing network switch and router
administration.
3 to 5 years’ experience supporting wireless access points
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to follow written procedures in a regulated environment
Experience with Sniffer, Wireshark or other network performance monitoring
and troubleshooting tools
Demonstrated experience with:
Project and time management with ability to balance changing priorities and
work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with frequent
interruptions.
Customer service and cross functional interactions.
Taking initiative.
