Business Objects Administrator in Minneapolis, MN for 8+Months Contract !!

Below is a Business Objects Administrator opening we have in Mounds View,
MN. The role starts as an 8 month contract and does have potential for
continued extension. Do you have any candidates for this role?

Must have: BO 4.0 Administration skill is the only skill I am looking for.

Job Description: (Business Objects 4.1 Administrator)
• Participates in the design and implementation for complex and business
critical initiatives related to Business Objects infrastructure
• Maintain/Administer Business Objects 4.1 platform
• Design security for various Business Objects projects
• Work with Accounts Administration team to configure AD groups

Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Business Objects best practices and
champions adherence to best practices when developing Business Objects
strategies
• Provides technical leadership for projects within the Business Objects
program to achieve business strategy and vision
• Provides input to long-term strategy as well as input as to how to
achieve organizational goals and maximize business value of the Business
Objects solution
• Leads/Co-leads process improvement efforts for the Business Objects
program using advanced continuous improvement tools and skills resulting in
significant cost savings
• Makes autonomous, timely decisions with incomplete information and under
tight deadlines and pressure. Impact of these decisions has direct business
consequences
• Provide input to the technical and strategic plans for the Architecture
and Technology team
• Solve the service requests that come to Business Objects Admin team.
• Migrate code from non-production to production environment.

Technical Skills Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience in SAP Business Objects administration
activities
• Experience with multiple node Business Objects installs and/or upgrades
• Experience using BO Client tools such as Web Intelligence, Crystal
Reports, IDT, UDT, Dashboards, Design Studio and Lumira.
• Experience in writing scripts to get CMS data into files/tables
• SAP Business Objects Capacity Planning
• Experience in integrating Business Objects with SAP BW
• Advanced Knowledge of SAP Business Objects Architecture
• Experience administering and configuring Tomcat
• Knowledge of Business Objects Security Architecture and Administration
• Advanced knowledge of Windows server
• Experience administrating, installing, configuring and troubleshooting
Business Objects 4.x environments
• Disaster Recovery Concepts
• Strong analytical and problem resolution experience
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• General knowledge of LDAP and Active Directory

Sound knowledge in migration of reports from xir2 to xir4.

Handle all support requests (e.g., problems with reports/Universes,

I have a SR BO Administrator role in Conshohocken PA. It will be a
6-12 month contract to start. They will do a phone and will most
likely want someone who can do an onsite interview.

A Business Objects Administrator is responsible for supporting and
maintaining the BO platform in an agile and fast moving environment.
The Administrator should be passionate about providing great service
that includes quality, agility, take great joy in breaking things in
creative ways, and be willing to get their hands dirty. Among their
key responsibilities are the following:

Key Responsibilities:

●  Analyze our current customized BO integrated solution and
proposes improvements

●  Upgrades current BOXI SDK code to BO 4.0

●  Ability to analyze current custom solution and propose
simplified solutions

●  Actively researches for enhancements to the current solutions

●  Develop and Deploy the custom Business Objects 4.0 platform

●  Actively reviews and proposes new solutions to reporting environment

●  Creates formal and detailed documentation of the solutions
proposed and supported

●  Ability to effectively migrate a BOXI environment to BO4.

●  Supports the BO infrastructure



Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a four-year college degree in computer science, IS or life
sciences   or relevant industry experience

5+ years Business Objects experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working in Java or .Net environments.

Experience in SQL

Experience in migrating a BO environment
