*Solaris Engineer/AdminPlymouth, MN6+ Months ContractMax Rate: $45-50/hr* *Must-have* 3 -5 years of experience working Solaris 10 Zones and VERITAS Volume Manager. Need to be familiar with Solaris zone operations, booting, shutting down, and adding file systems, detaching and attaching zones, editing zone configurations and verifying configurations. Experience with volume management along with importing and deporting disk groups Familiar with Solaris Hardware Exp with some kind of system monitoring software, preferably HP Openview Datacenter server migration experience Functional knowledge of UNIX scripting *Role* The clients UNIX Build and Migration Services team is primarily responsible for server build and migration activities associated with Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Platform Lifecycle Management (PLM), and data center migrations. You will be responsible for evaluating the hardware, software and OS to determine both the efficiency of the environment as well as the capabilities. The clients datacenter was created by merging two existing ones and now they need to make space for new equipment. Rather than build another datacenter, they are going to optimize the existing environment. This involves looking at legacy hardware and OS's to evaluate what needs to be updated and what needs to be replaced.
