Title: APM Admin posted on 2014-07-07 13:35:11 Job Description:*Skill:* Project Management, System Administrator *Job Description:* - To understand the technical and process needs of APM instrumentation of the web environment and to lead and facilitate the collection and review of APM application audits for the environment in light of existing capabilities within TrueSight as we stand up DC RUM in it’s place during 2014. - This includes having superficial knowledge of products such as dynaTrace, DC RUM, .NET, Java, MS IIS, WebLogic, WebSphere, Linux/Apache web application servers, as well as proxy and load-balancing technologies. - Additional responsibilities include learning and potentially administering APM Administration activities. - Candidates will demonstrate they understand theory and best practices of resource balancing strategy. - APM Administration is accountable to manage expansion of APM server component resources commensurate with APM growth at Client. *Key accountabilities include: * - Engaging teams for the completion of APM oriented Application Audits. - Recommending amendments to documentation as require for new environments being instrumented with APM products - Provide technical consulting and customer support to all areas of APM instrumentation and tool usage: - Provide technical assistance and support to IT users as it pertains to APM instrumentation. - Demonstrate how to build dashboards with APM tools (dynaTrace and DC RUM specifically) which will aid in coaching. - Work with ASAP team to mature and support the Client APM Program. ? *Other duties as assigned: * - Work with APM Administration process leader to implement appropriate a 24x7 support process for the APM tools themselves.. Requirements: - The right candidate should have a thorough understanding of web related technology, including hardware, software and operating systems. - This person should have capability and experience in organizational engagement with internal IT teams. Capability to engage, challenge, follow through with team members from multiple teams on varied timelines is critical. - This person should possess a solid understanding of networking which includes routing, and architecture. - This person should possess the ability to partner with other departments within the organization to follow through on APM instrumentation.
