Title : Sr. Solaris Administrator
Location : Mason, OH or remote  Work is located in EST

Description:
Responsible for all Solaris administration activities. Responsible for
assuring system availability and performance of all Solaris systems.
Provide second level support for customer problems and requests. Little
daily supervision required. Install, update and maintain applications,
middleware, system management tools, operating systems and network in the
Solaris environment. Responsibility for day-to-day operations of the
Solaris systems. Provide technical solutions for problems. Provide and
maintain documentation such as Systems Operations Guides or Work
Instructions describing local procedures, service level agreements, etc.
Participate in medium to large projects. Able to effectively lead small
internal projects

Customer Specific:
 Solaris 9 & 10 system administration, installation and
configuration.
 Solaris zones administration and trouble shooting.
 Good Understanding of trouble shooting & Solaris Concepts
 Exposure on Handling Mid/High ends Solaris Server.
 Expert level knowledge on VERITAS volume manager and Solaris
volume manager.
 Experience in managing large infrastructure, Sun Storage SUN3310
disc cabinet
 Experience in writing Shell or Perl script.
 Solaris Containers, E10K/E15K Domains,
 Expert level knowledge of Sun Clusters/ VERITAS Clusters,
 Experience on Jumpstart installation/Trouble shooting.
 Capability to plan and execute UNIX Security.
 Strong concepts of networking like TCP / IP
 Carries out Sun Solaris & Solaris OS administration activities
including Health checks, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem
Management, Query and Service Level Management activities;
 Responds to enquiries and is able to deal effectively with a broad
range of issues.
 Assist team in complex technical issues.
 Supervises and gives instruction to less experienced colleagues in
all aspects of current and correct operational practice.
 Responds to enquiries and is able to deal effectively with a broad
range of problems of moderate complexity
 Assists in the analysis of incidents and problems to show trends
and potential problem areas, so that action can be taken to minimize the
occurrence of incidents and to improve the process of problem reporting,

 Configuring new application in cluster/Crash recovery

Title : Unix Systems Administrator - Senior
Location : Mason, OH or remote  Work is located in EST

Description
Installs, configures, maintains and performs system integration testing of
Unix based operating systems, related utilities and hardware. Responsible
for troubleshooting Unix-based hardware and software problems. Monitors
systems activities and fine tunes system parameters and configuration to
optimize performance and ensure security of systems. Performs capacity
analysis, monitors and controls usage of disk space. Develops procedures
for routine administration including backup/restore, shutdown, and startup.
Provides recommendations for improving the server environment, such as
capacity thresholds, security gaps, patch levels and hardware recalls.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related
field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 5 plus years of IT work
experience. Requires a high level of expertise in multiple system
environments with emphasis in UNIX-based systems.

 Customer Specific Requirements- LINUX
1. Experience with common scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python)
2. Ability to diagnose and fix complex hardware, software and network
issues.
3. Understanding of performance monitoring software such as Nagios, SNMP,
sysstat.
4. Knowledge of network concepts such as the TCP/IP stack, load balancing,
firewalls, and iRules
5. Knowledge of RAID technology in regards to data integrity, and IO
performance
6. Storage: RAID, SAN, NAS fundamentals
7. Experience with performance tuning and diagnosing system bottlenecks
through root cause analysis
8. Experience working in large scale distributed environments
9. Ability to work independently and operate as a member of a team
10. RHCE certification is strongly preferred.
11. Strong communication and Interpersonal Skills are required
12. Handle incident response, troubleshooting and fix for various
product/services.
13. Effectively document procedures and troubleshooting guides for other
members of the team as well as compliance
14. Strong knowledge on Linux, LDAP integration, NFS, NIS
15. Linux Clustering and troubleshooting
16. Knowledge of Linux platform like Redhat, Centos, Suse,

18. Application Protocols: Excellent understanding of SMTP,HTTP,FTP,IMAP,POP
19. Experience in Installing, Configuring, Administering and
Troubleshooting the RH5 Enterprise Edition Linux Networks, of various sizes
ranging from 200-250 nodes
