OK, Let's do a poll. Someone else says they have access. Could it be the browser? I am using IE 6.0 on my NT Workstation 4.0 SP6a and I can't get in. I am going to try from one of the servers (IE 5.0) to see what the result is. [...] IE 5.0 SP2 -- no problem accessing MetaLink. So it could either be my NT Workstation, or MetaLink doesn't support IE6. Late last week I could access MetaLink, but I don't know if the LAN Services people here suddenly decided to push IE 6.0 on my workstation without telling me, will check. To all: I have IE 6.0 and NT Workstation 4.0 SP6 on my PC. My metalink entry is bookmarked. I click it, the log in screen comes up immediately and I'm in! I did a search on rollback and it returned the result very quickly.I also tried the attempt with Netscape Navigator 4.0.8. I tried: http://www.oracle.com/support/ clicked the metalink link logged in with no problem. ran the same query, and got the same fast results. Location of attempt: Richmond, Virginia, USA. I tried to login thru metalink.oracle.com and logged in immediately. I was able to query and results were faster. I tried looking for RMan and it came up immediately. Well, MetaLink worked for a while, but when I tried to look at another TAR the login prompt re-appeared. When I entered my name and password I got this response: Authorization Required This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required. Oracle HTTP Server Powered by Apache/1.3.12 Server at metalink.oracle.com Port 80 Am going to try again in a bit. I tried getting in through an e-mail from [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (TAR update notification), and my browser said it couldn't find the server. So the IP address was gone too, that's what the link used to connect back to MetaLink.
