Location:  Grand Rapids, MI
Duration:  6+ months contract

Job Description:
We Are posting this position to backfill for the client Team member that
has been re-assigned to a special project for a year.
This position is responsible for understanding and using advanced query,
analysis and reporting tools to extract and report data from
cross-functional database.
This is a technical position that is responsible for a development of tools
and metric associated with procurement measurement and performance.
Aditionally this role is responsible for the data collection and strategic
analysis to support procurment initiatives and organizational objectives.

Key Skills:
Maintains advanced technical knowledge of database query tolls (i.e Power
BI, BI Query, etc). and recommends usage to drive efficiency and meet
business needs defines procurement system requirements and leads projects
to develop and implement enhancements.
Design, develops, and maintains data collection tools and reporting.
Analyzes and interprets data for corrective action and proactive continuous
improvement.
Performs data collection, compliance measurement and prepares reports.
Trains internal and external customers in procurement procedures, processes
and systems.
Develops, communicates and measures business processes.
Performs business process audits.
Administers department sharepoint portal and procurement system.
Develops business cases and cost benefit analysis.

Education: Bachelors degree in Business or Supply Chain

Experience: 2+ years of business experience.

Data Analyst - MI

 Job Title: Data Analyst
Duration: 6+Months Contract
Location:  Grand Rapids, MI

This is a project-team position for on-going analysis and development of
technical specifications of retail business data from several IT platforms
(Teradata, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Total/Vsam, and IBM Mainframe
DB2).

Necessary skills include:
Ability to analyze data from conceptualization through data presentation:
Perform complex data analysis
Using appropriate data analysis techniques, arrive with accurate
interpretation of data.
Experience working with various data types, sources and file formats in
large size (e.g. millions/billions of records)
Gather and develop collected information into a standardized framework
methodologies.
Organize and maintain various documentation assets.

Highly skilled in SQL.
Familiarity with Software Development Cycle (SDL), working in various
Database platforms, and documentation repository such as TFS.
An outstanding candidate would have working knowledge of data modeling
tool, however, it is not considered as a must have requirement for this
position.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite 2007 or later (Word, Excel, Vision,
PowerPoint) and SharePoint 2007 or later.
Must be a self-starter and take initiative and assumes ownership in Data
Analysis work.
Perform data validation
Develop and execute test cases based on business logic and data
requirements.
Evaluate data accuracy and quality based on provided business requirements,
rules and logic.
Familiarity and experience with working in a fast-moving project oriented
environment.
Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders (project team
members and customers) to achieve program and project objectives.
Raise risks/issues where appropriate and collaborate with other team
members on risk mitigations and issue resolutions.
Take responsibility for assignment completion and follow through.
