  *Job Overview**:*

         The *Splunk/ELK Developer* is responsible for the development of
solutions to optimize the architecture and design of multiple Splunk/ELK
environments. This Developer must be able to collaborate with engineering
and operational teams in order to deliver new software projects to
production. The ideal candidate must have the ability to think quickly and
respond creatively to architectural challenges.

*Responsibilities:*

           ·         Customize using JavaScript as needed

           ·         Provide support for Cloud Migrations.

           ·         Provide solutions using SPLUNK created Visualizations
to get additional value out of data

           ·         Provide leadership for SPLUNK/ELK administration,
architecture and upgrades for distributed Splunk environments.

           ·         Load data sources into Splunk including Syslog and log
files

           ·         Design scripts to automate Splunk forwarder
maintenance and alerts.

           ·         Work with Splunk GUI, command line interface and
directly with configuration files.

           ·         Configure Splunk multisite indexer cluster for data
replication.

           ·         Create Reports, Pivots, alerts, advance Splunk search
and Visualization in Splunk enterprise.

           ·         Standardize Splunk forwarder deployment, and
configuration across a variety of UNIX and Windows platforms

           ·         Assist internal users of Splunk in designing,
developing and maintaining production quality dashboards

           ·         Mentor Splunk users and administrators

           ·         Act as a subject matter expert for Splunk
architecture, design,development and deployments.

           ·         Advise on Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning
and optimization

           ·         Develop core scripts to automate Splunk maintenance
and alerting tasks

           ·         Work closely with a cross functional team to design
new features and resolve issues as they arise.

           ·         Develop solutions to connect datapoints from disparate
splunk topologies.

           ·         Adhere to operational best practices in a high
transactional environment

           ·         Will contribute to the group credo of “security,
stability and scalability”

           ·         Communicate with stakeholders (Project team, tech
leadership) regarding status of project deliverables, problem

                resolution, and post mortem root cause analysis of issues.

          ·         Implement ELK to replace SPLUNK as a strategic tool..



*Qualifications**:*

         ·         5+ years of IT experience

         ·         Minimum 3 years of Splunk Development/Engineering
experience

         ·         Industry knowledge of application monitoring and event
management

         ·         Experience with Python, Perl, Shell or Ruby

         ·         Experience and understanding of DevOps Methodology

         ·         Experience and knowledge of the software used in support
of the DevOps model.

         ·         Experience working within change management procedures
and compliance

         ·         BA/BS in CS, CIS or other IT degree program or
equivalent experience

         ·         Splunk Certified Developer, Knowledge Manager, Admin, or
Architect is desirable
