Job Title: Report Designer Type: Temp Start Date: ASAP Location: Boston MA 02201 *Job Description:* Our client RSI has an ongoing project with the State of Massachusetts Department of Revenue. They are looking to add three consultants to their data team and expect this project to last for 2-3 years. Candidates must have public sector experience and preferably Department of Revenue experience. *1.) Report Designer Role Description (extends General Designer Role)* Report Designers are responsible for designing report mock-ups and report descriptions. These artifacts must consider the functional requirements along with the COMETS HD data model. The Report Designer must also consider data classifications and data protection. Key skills / role requirements include: · Intermediate understanding of data modeling concepts · Strong understanding of SQL · Experience designing reports on a platform similar to Cognos · Strong understanding of DOR data classifications *2.) Batch Designer Role Description (extends General Designer Role)* Batch Designers are responsible for designing batch jobs that perform bulk, scheduled processing logic. Key skills / role requirements include: · Intermediate understanding of batch concepts such as driving queries and job dependencies · Intermediate understanding of data modeling concepts · Strong understanding of SQL · Basic ability to understand MS Project concepts in order to interpret and update the Batch Schedule (as needed) *3.) ETL Designer Role Description (extends General Designer Role)* ETL designers are responsible for designing the mapping of data between the COMETS HD transactional database and the data warehouse to support reporting requirements.
