IT - Project Manager - Senior
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Senior project manager / program manager with a track record successfully
completing sophisticated end-user desktop migrations and upgrades
including call-centers
& IVR telephony in a F500 size organization. Focus on proven PMP / deep PM
skills, excellent written and verbal communications to all levels of an
organization. Quick learn, self-starting and able to rapidly adjust course
when needed.
*POSITION OVERVIEW*
Project is Large-Scale IT integration as a result of a major acquisition.
Candidate will fill a program leadership role as part of growing team that
will be responsible for IT integration of an acquired entity. Candidate's
core work will be to interface with company leaders in order to build and
drive plans for critical integration activities. Focus of work will be on
User Productivity activities for a 6500+ user base.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Project management
- Plan, forecast, allocates resources, and conduct performance
measurement and scheduling, while integrating the results into ongoing
operations.
- Labor/hour management of matrixed individual contributors
- Issue resolution and problem solving
- Project communications
- Budget management
- Hosting status meetings, setting agendas, and providing meeting minutes
- Process discovery and documentation
- Track record working as a career PM, PM role job descriptions
- Experience working as a contractor, preference for longer duration
assignments
- Experience working with senior management, strong upward communication
skills
- Experience completing large infrastructure projects that include
end-user desktop deployment, migration, upgrade, IP telephony and call
centers, user counts over 2,500
- Experience working in a large (~F500) complex matrix organization with
virtual teams
- Soft Skills / Fit: Able to explain project experiences clearly both at
a high level and in details, good energy level, able to engage, ask
questions and be assertive
*TOOLS/SKILLS*
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS SharePoint,
PPMOptics, MS Office Suite
*MUST HAVE*
- Highly organized and a self-starter
- Confident working frequently with senior management.
- Willing to learn and adjust rapidly
- Independent and driven
- Excellent communication both verbal and written to all levels of
management
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and dig into issues without increasing
conflict
- Outstanding conflict resolution/mitigation
- Willingness to travel when needed
*NICE TO HAVE*
- Experience with creating new processes
- Ability to work for a manager who travels a significant amount of time
