*Job Title: QA manager Location: Roanoke, VADuration: 12+ Months* *Description:Develop and manage a program level testing strategyLead a team responsible for development and execution of quality assurance processes within a variety of methodologies (waterfall, agile) and varying sizes and types of initiatives (maintenance releases, emergency changes, minor releases through major multi-system projects). These processes should include all phases of functional testing, load and performance testing, manual and automated testingDevelop and manage a test plan that is integrated with overall single project and program level plans.Lead the identification, development, and administration of testing resources including test environments, labs, data repositories, and testing toolsCollaborate with project management staff in estimating resource needs for new initiatives. Forecast staffing needs based on budget and workload. Ensure staff resource levels are appropriate to meet the forecasted needProvide overall testing project management with daily / weekly scorecard reportingUtilize risk-based testing principals in order to prioritize testing effortsManage multiple test resources from multiple test sources.Build relationships with other QA and development teams in order to facilitate communication of resources needs (personnel and labs), coordination of testing efforts, continual process improvement, and thorough end-to-end testing of cross-platform changesDevelop relationships with IT customers and acquire working knowledge of business processes. Optimize interactions with business users during user acceptance testing to ensure all changes are reviewed and understood by the user prior to UAT sign-offLead and mentor staff on quality improvement tactics in a focused effort to meet corporate and division objectives at the program and project level.Establish quality goals, metrics, and reporting processes.
