*POSITION SUMMARY*


The Full-Stack JavaScript Developer will work on a small team developing
prototype web apps inside the Data Science group at the College Board.
Working from existing specifications and wireframes, and in collaboration
with colleagues, you will be responsible for the development, deployment,
and on-going refinement of a new web application.


*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES*


• Build RESTful API-driven web apps from scratch to deployment with full
stack JavaScript (and of course HTML and CSS)

• Implement dynamic front end, using AngularJS 1.x and supporting libraries

• Develop effective UIs that are easy to interact with

• Deployment, maintenance, and optimization of application on AWS platform

• Understand and contribute to data model design and implementation using
relational database

• Follow best practices around version control, unit tests, and automate
build processes


*Required Skills:**

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*

*Education/Experience:*


• BA/BS required (major in an analytical field desired)

• A minimum of 4-6 years front-end development experience

• Experience in hands-on development of software applications for the Web
in a professional environment

Related Skills & Other Requirements:

• Dedication to writing clean, readable, straightforward code

• Experience using libraries and frameworks where it makes sense, while
still understanding how each line in your codebase works

• Ethos of continuous improvement and interest in learning new things

• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving ability

• Ability to think creatively about how to solve business challenges;
strong ability to understand and internalize the “big” picture and broader
implications

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with
the ability to effectively communicate complex issues at appropriate levels
of detail for business stakeholders and executive teams
