*Job Description*
The eCommerce Performance Engineering Team is responsible for performance
testing the online 24x7 web-facing systems, mobile applications, mDot,
fulfillment systems, and others. This role involves working closely with
Development, QA, and Business teams. This requires a mix of quality
assurance, development, and, system engineering skills.



*Job Responsibilities*

•                    Code or record then markup load-testing scripts

•                    Determine environment and release health and through
performance testing and analysis

•                    Analyze for needed test coverage

•                    Utilize monitoring systems as well as design and
implement new checks and tools

•                    Create test execution reports and trend results across
executions and release

•                    Maintenance of testing servers and hosts both onsite
and cloud-hosted

•                    Understanding interfaces and how code changes impact
the user experience

•                    Conduct quality coding processes including peer reviews

•                    Provide testing services after hours 10% of the time

•                    Additional responsibilities as assigned



*Job Skills *

•                    *Programming experience (C, shell scripting, java)*

•                    Knowledge of *load-testing methodology and tooling *

•                    SQL query experience (Oracle)

•                    Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol (routing, firewalling,
networking)

•                    Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. Cacti, Nagios,
Splunk, Tealeaf, RUM, BPM, APM)

•                    Knowledge of IBM Systems Queue testing

•                    Retail experience, both online and in-store is helpful

•                    Strong use of numbers and statistical measures

•                    Strong analytical, prioritizing, planning,
problem-solving, and presentation skills

•                    Strong verbal and written communication skills

•                    Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work
well within a team

•                    Ability to work with and influence peers and senior
management

•                    Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented
environment

•                    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail,
deadlines and reporting
