Job Title: Lead Storage Engineer Location: Roseland, NJ Duration: Fulltime Job Description: This position is accountable for the execution of storage management strategy across projects, application support teams, and infrastructure vendors. The ideal candidate is responsible for cross platform storage consumption profiling and capacity predictions. This position has overall ownership of physical and virtual storage configurations, and is accountable for both optimizing the environment for performance and to ensure its stability. Responsible for the development, implementation, and strategy for open system storage globally. Manage the delivery of designs for SAN, Backup and Recovery, and Storage platforms from peers, and third party vendors. Monitor and analyze the ยท Track actual usage against applications and projects expected growth by storage tier. Resolving operational issues and maintaining an optimum SAN environment Capacity Management, reporting and forecasting storage growth Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology. 10+ years of progressively responsible, "hands-on" experience in IT. 10+ years of hands-on experience on SAN (Storage Area Networks). Experience with SAN Switches: Cisco Experience with Data Migration strategies Experience with an all flash arrays. Experience Object base storage and OpenStack. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong knowledge and experience of designing, developing and delivering complex technology solutions across Infrastructure and application solutions. Practical experience in hands-on project implementations, project structure (both formal and informal), project life-cycle, and best practice project standards. Knowledge of industry practices like ITIL (IT Information Library). Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with demonstrated understanding of complex principals and statistical theories.
