[Origami] Admin Apologies
Hi everyone - sorry about the outage on the O-list the past couple of days. (I thought things were just quiet - which does happen, occasionally.) The list is now, as far as I can tell, fully functional again. (It turns out we'd made a change elsewhere on the server, believing it would have no impact on the mailing list stuff... but turned it out that it did. And it broke things in such a way that the only thing that didn't work was *actually accepting incoming list mail*, and that was the one thing I didn't explicitly test, having nothing origami-related to say to everyone, and figuring others would, and that someone would complain right away if posting didn't work. Except no one did. Hindsight is 20/20, and of course I should have tested it more carefully, and will do so more thoroughly in the future.) Remember, in the event of a list problem, send email to the list admins: origami-own...@lists.digitalorigami.com (make a note of it! it's not the same as the list address!) If you don't hear anything back fairly promptly (like, within a day) or mail to the admin address bounces, then feel free to send me a message personally. Thanks, and sorry again for the outage. [Origami] Origamists dedicated to creating practical models?
I love origami. During this six years I've been VERY passionate about creating original practical models, having them all a real use in everyday life. Although I have created a couple of models that are simply aesthetic. Anyway... during all this time I don't think I've found anyone else that has also been particularly dedicated to creating original practical models. I gotta confess it sometimes feels a bit lonely, that's why I wanna reach out to others like me. Do you know any others? Can you please give me their names? Might you also know how to contact them? Hello, once again there was a wonderful Origami convention in Tabiano Bagni, Italy. I had a wonderful time there meeting lovely people, folding beautiful models, enjoying the good atmosphere.
