[Origami] Origami sighting: Five-intersecting tetrahedra
Adam Savage (of MythBusters fame) and Matt Parker (Standup Mathematician/ numberphile) collaborated in their attempt to show how to build a polyhedra model, based on an origami model (Tom Hull’s five intersecting tetrahedra) that someone named Polly apparently folded for Matt. They discuss the maths, symmetry, logic, and ultimate frustrations of building the model in one day. The long YouTube video is well worth one’s time to watch, IMHO. [Origami] Origami Cranes folded by the President
Dear folders, Another Origami Peace Crane story... On 27 May 2016, the previous President of the USA , Barack Obama visited Hiroshima... At the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, he handed to two local children with folded paper cranes that he folded by himself ... He signed the guest book .. and placed two more paper cranes beside it. In the guest book he wrote :-.. "We have known the agony of war... Let us now find the courage, together, to spread peace and pursue a world without nuclear weapons." ..
