No 1 looks familiar but I think only because I have played with the idea
myself. It works better if the three modules all have three faces and the
tabs rather than just two.

Haven't seen the others. No 4 looks interesting.

My friend, Jim Weir and I recently tossed around the idea of teaching
simple modular design for a local event. We came up with a few simple ideas
for cubes. Some of them are very simple.

Do you know if someone else had created it before? Any published reference
or links are much appreciated.

1) Seamless Modular Cube by Jim Weir: 3 pieces of squares
2) Seamless Modular Cube: 3 pieces of squares, unit adapted by Sy Chen
3) $ Seamless Modular Cube by Sy Chen: 6 pieces of toy dollar bills
4) $ Modular Cube by Sy Chen: 6 pieces of dollar bills; Unlike making
Sonobe cube, this model is assembled by hooking instead of sliding.
