Dear Damian Dixon,

This may well be true. My main issues still remain, though, as follows:

-I am looking for a GNU TDM Win64 build that is TDM/GNU equivalent
to the Objexx Engineering version which has a byte profile for MSVC++.

-I need a contact point for some company that CAN persue such a task,
at stipend or as a volunteer.

Can someone reply with content for these two dash questions of mine here,
please?

Because of where I am in the world, relative to them, we are totally day/night

The contact us section on their website is buggy, and doesn't display properly,

Nonetheless, i have found the following two email addresses for AlphaPixel:

I have sent emails to both of these addresses, but no one has replied with

Is there someone who can suggest how I can send an email to AlphaPixel,

AlphaPixel has a buggy web form in its Contact Us area that can't be generally

the email address from inside the buggy code, to no avail.

They have a second email address at the top left hand corner of the web page.
I have emailed that address too, with no reply.

I can't telephone AlphaPixel because we are always day/night opposed, given how
far away from each other on planet earth we always are.

Is there someone on these forums who can give me an email address

These builds are themselves in dynamic .dll file format.

While their bit profiles should be compatible with Win64 TDM C++,
they are still in .dll file format! The ceremony required for programming
in .dll files is not appropriate for my tasks.

What I am finding is that I do require the static .a or .lib files, but that
I am not able to overcome the impasse of trying to build all of OSG
myself. I canot use MSVC compiling, and must be using TDM compiling.

Is there some free tool out there that I can use to convert MSVC .lib files
to GNU/MinGW/TDM ones?

With the Configure, it seems that if anything failed, the working alternative
was found and used instead, with net success.

There were no Generate errors at all.

-So, my issue is that I need a bunch of .a or .lib files and the header files,
a bunch of .h files. For reasons unknown to life as we know it,
I have a directory tree with some files, but absolutely none of these,
as a search has revealed. Do you have any clear suggestions what
I should do with all my settings that come up in the red area, or what else,
to solve that malady?

-By doing this, will I be then building a compiler which will be incompatible
with 64 bit Windows C++ TDM compiling, or in fact not?

-I had been under the impression that the only way to build these sorts of
things while remaining (native win64 TDM compatible) was to use the

64 bit mingw g++

compiler, and not the

gnu g++

compiler, on its own. When building things in the cygwin environment to be
used outside of it. Is this view of things accurate, or not?

[osg-users] [build] Particular Build Problems with OSG.

2019-03-27 Thread Zachary1234
I am attempting to build 64 bit OSG 3.6.3 for Windows using the GNU compiler,
to keep my end result operable with 64 bit TDM.

I am in the 64 bit Cygwin Environment.

I have installed the dependencies mentioned as necessary at the top of the
tutorial

http://www.openscenegraph.org/index.php/documentation/platform-specifics/windows/112-compiling-with-cygwin

and have even managed to separately build OpenThreads successfully.

I am up to the point where I am to

make, make install upon OpenSceneGraph version 3.6.3 and am finding
there is no make file to start by.

I have taken the source code version of OSG from
https://github.com/openscenegraph/OpenSceneGraph/tree/OpenSceneGraph-3.6.3

and have updated ~/.bashrc with links and references as needed. Do I have the
right source code download of OSG, why won't configure make install detected
the needed file for me, at least according to the later part of the tutorial?

[osg-users] Question about linking OSG 3D content to WxWidgets

2019-03-24 Thread Zachary1234
The example for wxwxidgets that exists inside the examples set is too
complicated for me to follow, or not particularly helpful with the my issue of
instance.

-Is someone kindly able to give me an example of how I can take the view of a
3D universe in OSG and "paint" that to a wxwidget?

ie. how can I take the view in a 3D world (of the tree) from an osg::Camera
to either wxControl or wxPanel, please?

Re: [osg-users] [ANN] Windows Binaries of OSG 3.4.0 : Visual C++ 2015 and Intel C++ 2016

2019-03-24 Thread Zachary1234
To Stuart,

people are grateful for the Objexx Win64 OSG library builds that are there,
however my particular issue is that these are only for intel and MSVC.

This thread does seem to say that the future plan is for OSG, one way or
another, to provide more binary library builds (with C++ header files, of
course) moving forward.

-I have understoond that the TDM compiler for Windows is fully compatible with
GNU C++ for windows, including libraries and headers. Is this in fact still
true?

-I am after a public download for Win64 OSG library stable (with Headers)
which will be compatible with TDM, or compatible with G++ Windows
(secondarily). Can someone perhaps pursue creating this kind of a build,
and offering it through the internet for public download?

Re: [osg-users] Help about obtaining a particular OSG build.

2019-03-04 Thread Zachary1234
Yes, I have been going through this,
but am at a point where the building process over here is failing.

I am simply looking for a TDM compatible build, and unfortunately
not debugging or error assistance in the process.

Can anyone part of OSG help with this issue, for the public
and for our requirements?

Is there someone there who would be able to field me

and where the WxWidgets source code example(s) resides?

[osg-users] OSG and Capabilities

Re: [osg-users] Question about OSG rasterisation relevant questions.

2018-12-27 Thread Zachary1234
I just wanted to know so that I am aware if need to instantiate class object
separately and submit them, or if this "faculties" of the rendering pipeline
are already inside, behind the scenes, automatically.

-I had guessed that rear face culling was something inside, and automatic.

-I take it to be the case that pre-draw coincidence occlusion doesn't happen at
all, and that towards a camera, things are just draw over things, certainly to
start, by default. Is this much true?

-There is a 2D user interface widgets package that now comes as part of OSG.
IS this just an inclusion of wxwidgets? What is is the name of this toolkit?

Happy New Year, and thanks for the answers!
