Re: GPX - no promt to copy files
Hi, I was seriously considering root on my phone, too. Unfortunately I do not have an unlocked bootloader. Unlocking it means wiping the phone (afaik). So this is no solution for me ether. Imho the missing copy prompt is definitely a bug! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Re: Problems with splitting track logs
Some of my recent GPXs ere automatically split; others not. All are set to Split interval: none (from My Places/My Tracks.) Could this be a bug? Problems with splitting track logs
With a recent update, OsmAnd has started splitting my recorded track logs into separate segments. For instance, when I go on a hike and we stop for lunch, or if we hang around in one area for a while, when I upload the GPX afterward it will have two or three different segments. This seemed like a cool feature at first, but it has a couple of bad side effects. First, there's no longer any way to find out how long the hike is: the mileage at the top right only shows mileage for the current segment, which measures from some arbitrary stopping place and not from when we started walking. Second, showing the currently recording track no longer helps with returning back to the beginning of a hike (getting yourself un-lost), because OsmAnd only shows the part since the last stop. The other segments do show up in the list of tracks so you can turn them on, but they're buried in the list (especially if you have a lot of tracks) and it's tricky to find the ones you need. If OsmAnd is going to split tracks automatically, can it please show mileage for all segments of the currently recorded track? And if I'm showing the currently recording track, can it please show all segments, not just the segment from wherever it last decided to split the track? Thanks! ...Akkana -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Re: bug in maxweight-routing
Good idea, I proposed the patch at https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd-resources/pull/409 . Re: Add custom buttons to OSMand
In the plugins menu you can turn on development (I'm using the dutch version so the names might be different). Then go to settings, there you can choose the development settings, scroll down and tap profiles, here you can turn on motorcycle, horse or boat. If you configure a profile with another map source you're there I hope. Own position on Huawei Honor 5x (Androdi 6.0.1)
Osmand+ does not zoom into my current position if I press the *target* button on the map (if position mode is set to *WiFi and Mobile* only, it works if set *GPS* additionally). Re: Turn by Turn was horrible
Maybe you should put a bit more effort in understanding how gps, gpx, tracks and routes work before you try to find an app that does the same thing that you don't understand. View some youtube tutorials about basecamp and creating tracks and routes. Maybe you'll understand. I always check a track for mistakes. In Basecamp I remove all strange loops and stuff. I create a start and finish waypoint so I can navigate to the beginning of a track. Route calculation can go wrong if the start and finish are close to one-other. You can work around this by getting on the beginning of the track and the turn on the navigation for the track. If you understand the limits and advantages of navigating a track or route with via-points you might understand the options/settings of your gps app or device. If you get that you won't be surprised by weird gps behaviour and know how to fix it. I've really used Osmand for many trips and had weird stuff happening but if you understand how it works you can do everything you want with the app. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group.
