OsMo plugin in iOS

2017-02-05 Thread Francesco Pelullo
Hi,

We're testing group position sharing via OsMo plugin, it works fine under
various android devices.

iOS devices, instead, are a nightmare.

OsMo plugin is not present, also GPX sharing via personal server is missing.

Do you have plan to develop these functions in next releases?

There are other solutions for share position in a group? E.g., with a personal
geoserver and OSMAnd API?
Can someone point me to some howto?

Thank you

Francesco

I experience the same behaviour. While the displayed distance is correct
when recording using continuous logging, it is not updated when using 60s
interval, probably because the GPS is switched OFF and ON. Only after
saving the track can one see the correct track length.
Look like the same issue as reported here

Re: Can´t find routing xml on my Android 6 device

2017-02-05 Thread stf
Careful with getting routing.xml from github: Sometimes there are changes
in it that are not finalized or compatible with the release of OsmAnd you
are running.

Case in point: I am running v2.5.4 and the version of routing.xml that was
on GitHub late last week would crash my version of OsmAnd. It appeared to
be something in the bicycle routing that was new and possibly not fully
debugged. I think it is safer to grab the APK file for your version of
OsmAnd and extract the routing.xml from it to use as your base for making
local changes.

Once you have a changed routing.xml file, it can be placed in the same
directory on your phone as the map files. On my phone that
is /sdcard/Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files/ but that can vary so just
look at the "Data storage folder" value in your OsmAnd "General Settings".

Did you download the world overview map? That will give you basic
continents and countries, which makes it easy to zoom out and pan to
anywhere in the world. When you zoom in on Alaska you'll see the
detail map that you downloaded.

Once you go to Alaska, OsmAnd should remember that and start up in the
same place next time (unless you tap on the icon that takes you to
the GPS location).

2017-02-05 Thread poutnik
Hi,
It is OK you cannot find it, as OSMand uses it own internal copy unless the
external file is used.
Just copy the file from Github, make the desired changes and place it in the
root of the Osm data folder you use.

Hi out there.

I would like to change the speeds used in calculation of routes and I have
seen the file routing.xml on github. My problem is that I can´t find that
file on my Samsung Tablet with Android 6. Please help me.
