Plan a route

2020-10-18 Thread guy.van...@gmail.com
The total distance of the planned route is always shown in "Plan a route"
at the bottom of the menu. But if you save that route, the length is no
longer the same as in the menu. Is there an explanation for that?

Re: New Symbol

2020-10-18 Thread Bob Gambrel
Yes, you are right. It is a very useful feature to set up. I have easily
set up these quick actions:
*Add OSM Note*
*Add map marker*
*Add GPX waypoint*
*Add Favorite*
*Unmute Voice*
*Night mode*
*Show Filling station*
*Show Food*

*Add action* allows you to add new ones

Click on it first time and start adding actions.

Re: Clear old routes

2020-10-18 Thread Everton Hermann
Hello Edson.
removeGpx allows you to remove a gpx given it's file name.
Here is the implementation:
https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd/blob/c6821aeb37c0e9c6db533d14875b2eae6c7453c3/OsmAnd/src/net/osmand/aidl/OsmandAidlApi.java#L1476
If it's not what you are looking for, you can propose a new method for the
AIDL API usually they are very open to new functions on the api(I can help
you with that, if needed),
Best regards
Everton

I think Herbert means the symbol bottom right (at least on my screen) to
launch the quick actions panel. I've not played with it but it seems to be
a pane you can put your choice of icons on to do things in fewer clicks
than otherwise.

Re: Measure distance widget

2020-10-18 Thread Max1234 Ita
I think they have decided to rename it since it now has improved features.
Now you can still measure the distance between points, but now you have
also the option to calculate it along a way, by "sticking" to roads and
tracks.

If you want to know what's the distance you will travel, you don't need to
point multiple times to follow every single bend, just click the start and
finish points, and the line will be drawn along a calculated route between
Hence the name "Plan a route".

Personally, I find that very comfortable (and of course the old option to
measure point-by-point is still available)
