Unfortunately, this is a somewhat common problem.
I live in a gated complex next to a freeway. If I start directions from my
house, OSMAnd+ instructs me to somehow jump directly up to the freeway (!).
Since the freeway is elevated and limited-access, what you actually have to
do is drive around to the complex gate, turn left or right, and go a mile
or so and a couple of turns to the nearest freeway entrance. As you noted,
the OpenStreetMap site plots the route correctly.
I've had OSMAnd+ do this also in rural locations. It plotted non-existent
connections between a secondary road and a freeway. In some cases there
were unpaved roads heading in the general direction, but terminating well
before the freeway, with no access. In other cases, there was no road at
all.
