Re: Add custom buttons to OSMand

2016-12-21 Thread Paul Johnston
Hi Bart,

Thanks for that, I didn't realise that if I had an overlay map the blue slider
would show up... It mostly solves my problem.

I may still see if I can hack the code to get a button instead of a slider.
I'll give a link etc to any changes I make(if I'm successful...)

Paul

In the plugins menu you can turn on development (I'm using the dutch
version so the names might be different). Then go to settings, there you
can choose the development settings, scroll down and tap profiles, here you
can turn on motorcycle, horse or boat. If you configure a profile with
another map source you're there I hope.

If you do make a plugin to make a custom button, I would love this. The
ability to open a new note at the current location with one touch is
desperately missing.

If I understand your point, the feature already exists: a light blue slider
toward the bottom of the screen.

Add custom buttons to OSMand

2016-12-05 Thread Paul Johnston
Hi,

I want to be able to switch between two map sources easily.
I am hoping to do this by adding at least one custom button to the map screen.

Is this something that could be achieved with a plugin? (preferred obviously)
Or should I just hack OSMand itself?

Ive only breifly looked at the code, but if someone can point me in the right
direction that would be great as I cant find much(any) developer based
documentation for OSMand...

Thanks in advance
Paul
