Re: Hiking / walking trails beyond 500m zoom

2017-04-25 Thread A Thompson
Nico, you might be interested to try the dependent renderer I cobbled
together:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/osmand/mC6e37AHSGU
(the download link is at the end of the thread). It's still working for me
with the latest OsmAnd, and I use it all the time.

Re: Hiking / walking trails beyond 500m zoom

2017-03-03 Thread Harry van der Wolf
This is due to the fact that they are different trails. The Amsterdamse bos
trails are part of the walking network and have therefore another tagging.
The rendering is different, and I agree: not consistent.

It should be changed in the used .render.xml or maybe even in the
default.render.xml

Re: Hiking / walking trails beyond 500m zoom

2017-03-02 Thread Nico W
These are pictures from the Amsterdamse bos, on the east side of the Amsterdam
airport.
Top is 500m zoom, trails are gone.
Middle is at 200m, trails are solid lines.
Bottom is at 100m, trails are dashed lines, as they should be and are like that
in OSM.

Now, what do I (or the developers) need to do to make the dotted lines as they
are in the bottom picture to stay like that to at least the 1km scale? I would
prefer 2 km.

How do I take screen shots? Then I can show what is going on.

Hiking / walking trails beyond 500m zoom

2017-03-01 Thread David
Hi,
I am currently in nepal, and on my map (walking setting) the small roads and
tracks disappear only when I zoom in from the 2km setting to the 5km setting,
and I am talking realy small trails (1 foot wide paths between the rice fields,
amazing someone put them in OSM). From the 5 km setting up they would be
actualy clutter up the map verry much.

When I say 5 km setting I refer to the measuring line at the bottom of the map
as I know no other way to identify the zoomfactor.

Hiking / walking trails beyond 500m zoom

2017-02-27 Thread Nico W
I saw that. I have the "details" function activated, but the trails still
disappear going from the 500m scale to 1 km. The map magnifier function reduces
the map size, with still the same zoom function.

Somewhere in the coding must be an entry that says something like "show
footpath at zoom xxx (equivalent of 500m)", just like the setting for countour
lines.
This should be changed to the equivalent of 1, 2 or even 5 km

Hi,
There is an entry called 'small roads, trails question' that might solve your
problem, currently it is about 15 entries down from your question.

Hiking / walking trails beyond 500m zoom

2017-02-25 Thread Nico W
How can I make hiking / walking trails visible at zooms beyond 500m?
If in pefestrian mode trails should be visible at 1, 2 or even 5 km scales.
500m or less is useless.

Touring view doesn't change it.
