I logged in, for the time at the office, just now.  I got an email to
verify it wasn't a bot that guessed my credentials.  Everything loads
fast.  Doesn't seem to be any issues from what I can see.  Troy OH

Down Detector has a big spike in complaints, no other service seems to
right now.

Not nationwide.  Nearly everything here (Troy Ohio) is up.

There was a huge storm that even killed people yesterday.  It's almost
certainly power related on that Spectrum outage map.

This is not a good place to notify the world that your one neighborhood is
down.

Well if that doesn't include Facebook I don't know what does.  Facebook.com
is #3 in the world on a day to day basis.  In emergency cases it's very
useful.

However I do have to agree - the "me too" posts get kind of annoying.  Once
we've got a few posts and an idea on locality of the issue I think
individuals can leave the thread alone.

As an ISP we get tons of calls when "the Internet is down" because
Facebook.com doesn't load.  It is the third most visited website in the
world after all.  I'm sure there are others that benefit from knowing this
information.
