 congratulations to wendy thornton on being the midwife of the year for south 
australia. saw this in the paper and was so pleased to see that tania is also 
looking after her present pregnancy.

  Another wonderful story to add to the list...
  
  Attended a beautiful 'out of hospital' birth (not at the 
  couple's home, but at a holiday house by the sea) last week, good strong 
  labour, with some lovely lulls for Mum to sleep, strong urge to push for some 
  time, and then very wide flattening of the perineum before we saw a brow 
  present! Absolutely amazing to watch, as we could see the imprint of the 
  baby's face under the stretched perineum, brow at the fourchette, chin at the 
  anus, and then a couple of lovely strong urges to push, and this gorgeous baby 
  girl, with a perfectly round head (if not a bit of a flattened brow!) was 
  born, nearly 9lbs, to a mum that started the pregnancy under 50 kgs. 
  Only a little 1st degree tear, no sutures, and an elated mum, dad and 
  midwives!
  
  Aren't women just amazing, when they are left to follow 
  their instinct, and work in harmony with their baby...

Was there n article coming up on Insight on SBS, on Homebirth  I am 
sure I got it off this list that it would be on, but tuned in tonight 
and no homebirth story..any one able to shed any light on the
