Congratulations Carolyn! It takes a lot of guts to really take a stand. One quick thing - I was so impressed with the Democrats policy on voluntary organisations and work. Amongst the highlights include a scheme whereby HECS debts can be paid by doing voluntary work. As I know the personal paybacks of voluntary work I highly commend the social building this type of initiative encourages. Let's all go to the polling booths with a strong clear intent for change in birth as a result of this election. Hold the dream for us and for our daughters. I'm writing on the eve of our Federal Election to ask you to vote 1 (in both the lower and upper houses) for the Democrats this election. The Democrats are well known for our traditional role in the Senate - providing a check on executive power and encouraging transparency and accountability in Government dealings. The Democrats have always been years ahead in regards to protection of the environment, respect for human rights, social justice issues; reconciliation and a sustainable economy.
