Re: [PacketFence-users] Cosco 2960-CX

2016-06-13 Thread Durand fabrice
Hello Jason,

Cisco 2960-CX works with PacketFence, i use this one for all my cisco
test:
https://www.spotit.com.au/cisco-ws-c2960cx-8pc-l-cisco-catalyst-2960-cx-8-port-poe-lan-base-ws-c2960cx-8pc-l.html
It also support Identity network policy
https://github.com/inverse-inc/packetfence/blob/devel/docs/PacketFence_Network_Devices_Configuration_Guide.asciidoc#identity-networking-policy

Looks like cosco switch is the Chinese cisco name ;-)

[PacketFence-users] Cosco 2960-CX

2016-06-13 Thread Jason 'XenoPhage' Frisvold
Greeting,

After a bit of a hiatus from the packet fence world, I'm back and looking at
building a new system for a shiny new network. So, first question. Has anyone
tried packet fence with a Cisco 2960-CX?

I believe it's a standard IOS device, so I expect it will work like most
others, but worth asking. I'm looking specifically for 802.1X functionality.

Any pros/cons?

Thanks,

- Friz

Re: [PacketFence-users] User-agent from Radius Accounting

2016-06-13 Thread Durand fabrice

Hello Ricardo,

If you are using web-auth then you will probably have access to theses
attributes but when i checked that sooner this year and the http-tlv and
dhcp-tlv were a little bit weird, like i got a sort of random chars
before the real useragent/dhcp info.

I don't know if you have an example (debug) of a radius packet that
contain these attributes (maybe it has been fixed and we can probably do
something).

One way to do it, for Cisco devices, is to read it from Radius

So, I wonder if there us any integration point where I can have access
to the Radius accounting packets and write the info to the node table?

2016-06-13 Thread Evan Linwood

Hi Fabrice,
Thanks very much for your quick answer and I'm sorry to take so long to get
back to you, I went O/S on a very busy trip, plus I missed the original msg -
apologies.
Sorry also since I didn't receive your original reply via the list (I'd posted
then, subscribed, maybe something happened out of sequence) so I've had to
start a new msg here..

To answer your questions (in reverse order :)

I've now changed the password in Advanced to plaintext (it was bcrypt) and
re-tested but I'm still getting exactly the same result.

I noticed the comment next to the Database passwords hashing method control
that reads 'The algorithm used to hash the passwords in the database. This will
only affect newly created or reset passwords'.

It seems that this does not refer to passwords stored in the
/usr/local/pf/raddb/users file, but I thought I would check with you that this
is the case?

I don't think that this should affect passwords used over Wifi authentication?

The contents of my raddb/sites-enables/packetfence-tunnel are just below.

(Thanks again for your help).

[PacketFence-users] Machine auth not working

2016-06-13 Thread Ricardo Duarte
Hi there,

Radius AD machine auth is not working for me with Packetfence 6.0.3.
The problem seems to be Radius sending "host/" to ntlm_auth command
instead of $ .

As a quick fix I added the following to packetfence and packetfence-tunnel
radius sites:

if (User-Name =~ /^host\/([[:alnum:]]*).*/i ) {
update request {
Stripped-User-Name := "%{1}$"
}
}

I guess this should be working out of the box, so probably I'm doing something
wrong with PF config.
Any hint?

Thanks,
Ricardo
